PEDRO J. RUIZ, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr Ruiz started his medical career at the “Pontificia Universidad Javeriana” in Bogota, Colombia. He completed his graduate studies at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot, Israel. His residency in internal medicine was completed at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and his rheumatology fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.

Dr Ruiz understands the challenge of caring for people with chronic conditions. He is very interested in all rheumatology entities, their diagnosis and management. He is also interested in participating in multi-specialty groups to address the treatment of these complex diseases.

In addition to practicing medicine at Pacific Rheumatology Associates, Dr. Ruiz is active with the Arthritis Foundation and enjoys time with his family and jogging.
