YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT...

As a new patient at Pacific Rheumatology Associates, the doctor will obtain as much information about you as possible. Our rheumatologists will review notes from your referring physician, take a careful history, perform a detailed physical examination, and interpret your relevant test results. To obtain an accurate diagnosis, there are certain laboratory and imaging tests that may be done following your initial appointment. You may view your test results or email your doctor through our online patient portal, MyChart.

We now offer our patients the option for telehealth visits to existing patients using our patient portal MyChart. Please contact the office for assistance in scheduling.

You will probably be scheduled for a return appointment at PRA to review test results. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions of the physician. Patients are seen by appointment only. Please try to call as early as possible to reserve a time. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, we ask that you give our office at least 48 hours notice to reschedule. This gives us the opportunity to use the time for another patient who may be in need of care.

INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION:

Pacific Rheumatology Associates participates with Medicare and many PPO plans. We partner with the Brown & Toland Medical Group network of providers, therefore, we only accept this HMO plan. 

 As a referral base office, please have your referring physician fax your demographics, insurance information, a referral and all medical records pertaining to your visit, to 415-749-0841. As soon as our physicians have reviewed your records, our staff will call you for an appointment.

 If you are unsure if we are in-network with your insurance, please call your insurance and provide them with our TAX ID#: 94-3166656.
