Dr. Molly Magnano is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She moved to Northern California in 2001 and completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Immunology/Rheumatology Fellowship training at Stanford University School of Medicine. While at Stanford, Dr. Magnano focused her research activities on clinical therapeutic trials including study on treatments for Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, and Inflammatory Osteoarthritis. She worked on "Arthritis Self-Efficacy" management practices at the Palo Alto VA Hospital and Clinic. Dr. Magnano has presented research papers and posters at the American College of Rheumatology annual meetings and has been a guest lecturer at medical grand rounds at hospitals and medical facilities throughout northern California.
Dr. Magnano is committed to outstanding patient care and takes great pride in the strong and collaborative relationships that she forges with her patients and colleagues. She also enjoys teaching and mentoring Rheumatology fellows at UCSF Medical Center and proctoring young doctors as they begin clinical practice. She was the winner of the Best Doctor in the East Bay award in 2012 and has been included in US News and World Report's list of Best Doctors in America and in the Castle Connolly Top Doctors in San Francisco every year from 2011- 2024.
Dr. Magnano resides in San Rafael with her husband, Marco, and her three teenage children. When not in the office, she loves to exercise in any/every way, hike in Marin County, sample new restaurants with friends, cheer for her kids at their myriad of sporting events, read, and volunteer in her school, church and local community.
